Jenna and Scott wanted to have a small intimate wedding with just their families and closest friends. The Second Empire was the perfect place for them and so they set the date of September 15, 2012 and contacted me about officiating for them. We met in April and got started on the ceremony. They wanted a very personal and meaningful ceremony and so that is what we created together. We held a  brief rehearsal the afternoon before at their home and ran through the logistics. The wedding day dawned a gorgeous fall-like day and when Marty and I arrived at the Second Empire, were greeted by Tracey Thorpe, wedding coordinator for Second Empire and saw that everything was ready. The photographer, Katie Roberts, with SK Roberts Photography had taken the guys off somewhere for photos and the bride, her mother, grandmother and two bridesmaids were hidden away from sight.
The Raleigh Room downstairs was ready for the reception following the ceremony. Don't be fooled by the wall of mirrors which makes the room look twice as big! There are really only two long tables but plenty spacious for a really fun reception.
Scott, our guitarist with Arioso Strings, was upstairs in the East Parlor playing prelude music.
After the bride's grandmother and the two mothers were escorted in, it was time for Jenna and her father, Peter to enter from the hallway.
The East Parlor is such a pretty and warm room. The wallpaper is actually a soft coral suede and very acoustically effective. The bay window makes a perfect place for the ceremony.
Scott's father, Richard, is his best man and his brother, Rich, is his groomsmen. The family resemblance is striking!
Jenna's sister, Jessa, is her matron of honor and her bridesmaid is Alice, Scott's sister.
Jenna looks so beautiful on her wedding day. I had never seen her hair swept up like that and with her gorgeous wedding gown she was simply radiant. In fact, Scott could not take his eyes off her!
Their story is a good one. They met when she was working in Atlanta and Scott was in school at Emory, around the pool at her apartment complex. The attraction was undeniable and after seeing each other around the apartment complex and going to a music festival, there was no turning around, nor did they want to. I think this is where I said "They also love running together...Jenna enjoys running ahead and Scott enjoys trying to keep up with her!"

They chose the "I do" style vows and readily answered my questions.
Rings....
The big moment that their marriage is sealed and legal.
These lovely flowers came from Whole Foods who did all the floral arrangements.
Out to the front porch for photos while the guests enjoy the refreshments downstairs in the Raleigh Room.
Jenna and Scott, what a pleasure to know you and work with you to create your dream ceremony. I wish you all the very best in the years to come!
