Nicole called me on September 25th to find out if I could officiate her wedding on Thursday October the 4th, 2012. I was happy to tell her that I would be delighted to. She and Brian have known each other for 17 years but neither had ever married. So, when they got together after all those years, it was only natural that they marry and spend the rest of their lives together.  I did not get the details of their story but it was obvious that they love each other a whole lot! I was most happy to marry them to each other. Their parents were all present at the wedding, having traveled from Illinois for this wonderful occasion.
The couple and their families had reserved the clubhouse and decorated the portico at their apartment complex in North Raleigh with tulle and beautiful flowers. It was quite lovely. Whether the ceremony would be inside the clubhouse or in the portico was iffy as it was misting rain off and on that morning. But, it lightened up and we decided to go ahead outside. I am talking with Nicole's mom, Carol, here before we started the processional.
Our best man, Brian's brother Jeff, and our matron of honor, Nicole's sister Katie, process in around the pool.
 Watching the bride enter......
Nicole's father, David, proudly escorts her in to be married.
Surrounded by their parents, siblings and closest friends, Nicole and Brian make their vows of marriage to each other.
"Yes, we are married!"
Nicole and Brian, I am so happy for you! I wish you all the best life has to offer. Go forth in love, peace and happiness!
