JANENE + CHRISTIAN
Janene og Christian tok sine formelle bryllupsportretter i det vakre Kloster Eberbach i Tyskland, etter en enkel sivil seremoni tidligere. Fotografen har selv laget kaken og blomsterdekor, mens brudebuketten er DIY fra bruden. De var ute etter en kreativ, men likevel elegant og sifistikert shoot, og vi synes de har lykket veldig bra. Filmfotograf Robyn Middleton Photography har fanget denne ettermiddagen perfekt.
FRA FOTOGRAFEN: There was nothing typical about the day, the least of which was the celebration of a marriage. The couple were married earlier via an intimate civil ceremony, but wanted some more formal and fine art portraits. Janene and I met a few months ago to plan her wedding photos. We clicked immediately and became fast friends. Janene is an officer and nurse with the American Navy Reserve and is also an up and coming chef specializing in gourmet, artisanal cheesecakes. Her equally inspiring and dapper husband Christian is a Lieutenant Colonel with the American Air Force, and is a highly decorated pilot. For the portraits, we chose the Eberbach Abbey in the beautiful wine country area of Eltville, Germany on the Mosel River. The Abbey, a former Cistercian monastery, was founded in the year 1136 by French Benedictine monks. It served as the perfect setting as Janene & Christian are lovers of all things french. The monastery and grounds now serve as a winery producing some of the area's finest Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot blanc, Pinot gris, and Pinot Noir wines. This glorious monastery also provided magnificent backdrops and luminous light at every turn despite the dreary weather outdoors. The bride was perfectly and exotically adorned as uniqueness stemmed from her handmade dress from china to her amethyst necklace & earring set from India. Even more distinct was the groom's full military regale. Normally reserved for official state functions, this was the first occasion to wear his Air Force Formal Dress. Following the portraits, we enjoyed some french champagne along with a french vanilla buttercream wedding cake topped with succulents and fresh lavender. It was an indescribable honor to be able to spend such a wonderful and relaxed afternoon with this beautiful and inspiring couple.
